Keltek Cornish Brewery
Born in Cornwall. Brewed with Character.
Keltek’s story began in the Cornish village of Tregony, on the Roseland Peninsula, with founder Stuart Heath and a simple bet: if he could brew a superior pint, the local landlord would put it on the bar.
In a disused stable block, using a 2.5-barrel microbrewery, Stuart got to work. His very first brew won gold. The bet had paid off — and Keltek Brewery was born.
As word spread and demand grew, Keltek moved to larger premises in Lostwithiel, increasing brewing capacity five-fold. The brewery later expanded again, moving to its permanent home in Redruth — the historic heart of Cornwall’s mining country.
Today, Keltek can brew more than 250 brewer’s barrels a week, with its own automated bottling line keeping brewing and bottling under one roof.
In 2013, Keltek acquired four pubs near the brewery, becoming only the second Cornish brewery to own its own estate of public houses. Two more followed in 2016, creating a family of six pubs, each sharing our belief in great beer, warm hospitality and proper Cornish character.
In 2024, we completed our transition to fully solar-powered brewing — combining traditional craftsmanship with a more sustainable future.
The quality of our beers continues to earn recognition. In 2025, Keltek received **10 Taste of the West awards**, followed by another **12 awards in 2026**, including **Gold, Silver and Commended** honours — **22 Taste of the West awards in just two years**.
Through all that growth, one thing has never changed.
Keltek remains proudly family owned, brewing with whole hop flowers, British malts and hand-pitched yeast. We still believe exceptional beer comes from doing things properly, with care, patience and craftsmanship.
The brewery may have come a long way from that stable block in Tregony, but the promise remains the same:
